Countrystay ‘The Dutch Station’ & ‘Dutch Golf’©

‘The Dutch Station’ is centrally located in the Alpine-Pacific Triangle in North Canterbury. ‘The Dutch Station’ offers complete packages for golfers, ranging from 3 days to a week and all-inclusive holiday breaks with personalised excursions for those travellers, who like to see a lot without the hassle of driving themselves all day. Especially for travellers from overseas this is a good way to start a holiday and learn some basic things about New Zealand.

We can meet you at the airport or at the Waipara train station and and we take care of you for as long as you like. Email us your wishes and we will work out a quote for you.

The golf package includes pick-up from the airport, all transport, greenfees, use of clubs, all-meals inclusive accommodation at ‘The Dutch Station’ and taxes. Drinks are excluded.

All courses are normally available for green fee players at all times. Sometimes courses can be closed due to official tournaments. There are 8 challenging golf courses within mostly less than one hour drive from Hawarden. Contact us for a personalised golf package. We can also include other tourist attractions on request.

The price for the personalised package includes accommodation, breakfast, pre packed lunch, evening meal, driver and all car costs. Admission fees are excluded.

The following list of possibilities shows examples of what you can do :

• Day trip to Hanmer Springs hot thermal pools and with lots of opportunities to suits everybody’s wishes.
• Day trip to Kaikoura to see the whales, swim with the dolphins or even make a helicopter flight over the whales.
• Day trip to visit Maori Rock Art and Waipara for wine tasting.
• ½ day trip to Vintage Steam train in season.
• Day trip to Christchurch.

Example for a 6-day arrangement:

Day 1

We meet you at the airport in the morning and drive you around Christchurch, have a cup of coffee and lunch before transfer to Hawarden in the early afternoon. Dinner served at our place.

Day 2

Have a long lie if you come from overseas. In the afternoon play a game of ‘Dutch Golf’©, take a sauna or just relax. Dinner is at our place.

Day 3

We drive you to Kaikoura along the scenic inland route to see the whales, swim with the dolphins or take a walk along the peninsula. On the way back we can have dinner in a restaurant or dinner at home, as it should feel by now.

Day 4

Have a look at the Maori Rock Art near Waikari, continue to Waipara for wine tasting, drive to the coast and see the wildlife and come back along Greta Valley.

Day 5

Relax in the hot pools in Hanmer Springs, walk in the surrounding hills or make an adventure trip.

Day 6

We bring you back to Christchurch, where you can do your shopping. After that you can carry on with your own program or return home.
